Offering in Bali

Indonesia has more than 17000 islands which has five of main islands ; Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan ( Borneo ), Sulawesi, and Bali are the most dense population. And about 7000 islands are inhabited. Bali with its more than 3 million population is a culture rich and unique island. Everyday it is almost cultural event is hold in every family and the neighborhood and present offerings to Hindu's God. 

A set of large piles of fruit and flower are decorated above the palm leaves, dedicated to the Lord for blessings. A few snacks like apem Bali (cake), bantal (sticky rice cake), and sumping (cooked thick dough) are presented as aturan (offerings) . The offerings contain rich of meaning and it is actually a sentence of worshipping and a grateful gratitude to Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa  ( Hindu's God ). It is placed in a plaited of palm leaves that makes this offering unique and natural. This is also accompanied by incense to worship Lord of Brahma as a creator.

Each of family member have to take and eat those blessed offerings after the ceremony or event is over in order to get God's blessing. This is the most fun session since all the family members are gather to consume the blessed offferings after days or month doesn't meet each other. This culture is still exist even at this modern days.
